Matt, Leo, Michael and I went out and got the last two shots tonight, and production is finally over.
I won't lie, this project was full of stress and was quite hectic but in the end I believe that it all will have been worth it because the footage looks promising and I believe in mine and Matt's editing skills.
Thanks to all of the actors and crew for helping to make this such a wonderful project and I hope that it does not disappoint! :)

Day 3's Shoot.
Though we lost Maggie as Kimberly today for the third (and possibly not the last after all) shoot, we gained Kiri which proved to be a great thing for this film. Everything was quick and fairly smooth, and the footage, as before, matches and looks great.
We didn't manage to get the bus shot but got some nice city walking scenes in its place. The only thing we missed was Seth's goodbye to Kimberly when he leaves the first night.
We'll figure it out. I'm thankful that we all were able to work on this project together and am certain that it will look great in the end.
PS: I will have some production stills to post soon for everybody, eh Matt, eh? (;

The second shoot was GREAT!
Like last time, some problems arose right before we were actually supposed to shoot. We were out another location and our schedule almost flopped completely, but again, things worked out in our favor. We shot in Leo's garage and were forced to add tiny revisions to the script, but this proved to be a good thing as it brought out the character of "Miss Bolton" tons more than I had originally written. The mannequin that we used for Kimberly, (Eva from Eve's Necklace by Daniel erickson, www.themannequinmovie.com) though dark skinned, was stunning and so was the footage we got around her and the rest of the "dress shop."
We have one more day of shooting and it will be a production wrap... then onto post! Putting together the finished product of this film will be tons of fun and I can't wait for everybody to get a chance to see it.
Thanks again (though you probably hear it a lot from me) to all of my cast and crew for doing such an excellent job and making this project such an enjoyable time for me and everyone else on set!
Here's to the second day of shooting!

It's advertising time!
This will be a quick post.
The entire music score for Dream Doll will be done by Will Knaak, a local Austin musician who is somewhat like family to me.

Shoot: Day 1!
Finally, we've begun shooting Dream Doll. After losing an actress and two locations, I was a little worried about the outcome of the film but everything has turned out for the best. In the end, we used my apartment and it worked excellently.
Matthew Hardesty ran the camera and he ran it amazingly. The footage is stunning and the sound that accompanies it is great, too, thanks to Leo Schuster.
The three actors that we shot with on Friday the 6th (yesterday as of 3 hours ago) were Michael Fensterbush, Valerie Lara and Javier Smith--all three of whom carried out their roles very well.
The day started off a little slow. Not everyone was able to stay for the whole shoot and some things were delayed. Once we got rolling, however, things went very smoothly and by the end of the night, everyone was laughing and having a ball.
My lovely neighbors allowed us to use their entryway for the shoot and I'm glad--some of the angled shots we got around the staircases are really going to make the scene with the dialogue between Seth and Amanda.
I'd also like to give a special thanks to Ben Snyder and Will Ragan. Sadly, they didn't have as much to do as everyone else but they helped me get started and I really needed that. Thanks, guys!
As this is my first project that is truly my own film, I'm delighted that everything is going so well. I hope that the next shoots will be just as awesome. I had fun decorating my apartment--now I've just got to clean it back up. Bummer.
I look forward to shooting with everyone again--this project will be great.

First meeting coming up.
Will be out of town this weekend (It's one of my best friends' birthdays) so I won't be able to update, but on Monday I've got that meeting with Lynn and Maggie.
Then, I'll be scheduling a reading/rehearsal for probably early January to prepare everyone for the shoot.
Welcome aboard the crew, Leo! I'm glad you'll be able to work on this with us. We really need an excellent sound guy. :)
That's all for now, guys! I'm getting more excited every day.
